Johnsons Hotel Linen is one of the UK's leading linen hire suppliers to the hotel and leisure industry, servicing high quality Hotels across the UK.  Our site at Chester has an exciting opportunity for a Production Manager to join the senior management team.

 

The Production Manager role leads a team of shift managers and supervisors and is responsible for the overall production operation of the laundry. Therefore, a strong production / manufacturing background is required.

 

It is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious Production Manager with a can-do attitude to demonstrate their ability to drive performance in a dynamic manufacturing operation.

 

The Production Manager is responsible for

• Ensuring adherence to all Health and Safety procedures
• Leading the production team of shift managers and supervisors
• Driving operational change, achieving maximum production efficiencies
• Meeting customer requirements for quality and delivery schedules
• Establishing a culture of excellence and continuous improvement

 

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Clear understanding and application of relevant Health and Safety and HR legislation and practices
• Operational management experience within a manufacturing/laundry environment delivering excellent quality on time in full to customer requirements
• Proven record of improving processes and efficiencies in a KPI driven environment
• Working successfully to tight deadlines with other key departments eg transport, engineering and customer services
• Excellent problem solving, planning, budgeting and communication skills
• The ability to motivate and lead a team within a cross-cultural operational environment
• Commitment and resilience

 

The role will require you to work flexible hours over a five day week and is likely to include some evenings and weekends. As part of a growing PLC there are many long term career opportunities.
