Johnsons Service Group provides textile rental and related services across a range of sectors throughout the UK.  We are the leading supplier of work wear and protective wear in the UK, offering these services through our “Johnsons Workwear” brand.  We also provide premium linen services for the hotel, catering and hospitality markets, and high volume hotel linen services, through a number of different brands which include “Johnsons Hotel Linen”, “Johnsons Hotel, Restaurant & Catering Linen” and “Johnsons Restaurant & Catering Linen”.

Due to a recent expansion of the department, we have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Health and Safety Manager to join our team.

Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, the ideal candidate will have a proven manufacturing/production industry track record having at least five years previous experience of managing Health and Safety.  Ideally having excellent experience of managing a Health and Safety department, influencing people at all levels and co-ordinating a range of issues within a busy operational environment.

The post will be directly responsible for the management of Health and Safety across a geographical region and liaise with sites across our divisions, as such, previous experience of multi-site responsibilities is desirable.

Responsibilities include:

Candidates must possess a full driving licence and a Level 5/6 qualification in H&S or GradIOSH/CMIOSH or  working towards or equivalent work experience/CPD record. 

In addition, ideally, you would have knowledge of the Scottish legal system and NI legal system and experience of machinery risk assessments, fire safety management and behavioural safety programs.

The role will require you to work flexible hours over a five day week and is likely to include travel and overnight stays. As part of a growing PLC there are many opportunities for career advancement and personal development.
